Reasons Why Congress Shouldn’t Be Voted Back In Power

These are a few reasons why Congress shouldnt be voted back to power.

1.The main objective of the Congress is nothing other than seeing the Nehru-Gandhi’s in the Prime Minister’s post. You will say then why did Manmohan Singh become PM? the reason for that is Sonia Gandhi knew that if she had become PM there would have been wide spread discontent amongst the politicians cutting across parties.Hence the so tragic act of giving up a chance of becoming PM and abdicating it to Manmohan Singh.

2.If u please Muslims and use them to get votes that is called secular.But if u try to please Hindus and get their votes its called communal.Congress has been playing this game for a long time and this in the long run is going to harm the social fabric of the country.I agree that BJP is not entirely pro-muslims but come on ppl India is a country where Hindus are in the majority.And before u start commenting on my communal approach let me assure u i have no prejudice against ppl from any religion and in fact i have many friends who are muslims.

 

3.I played a game called Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? in my childhood.But i want to rephrase that and ask Where in the World did the Nehru-Gandhis get so much Money? agreed that they come from a rich family but wake up ppl all of them individually cant be that rich.For one tell me what work has Rahul Gandhi done in his life to be so rich?A few years back he had an interview in Telheka where he had shares worth 2-3 crores in Intel(US based chipmaking company) and i am not talking abt the other assets he had then.Today he has only abt 9 crores of assets.his sister Priyanka Gandhi has a similar amount of assets.Even accepting the fact that they were rich but come on how much can u earn being a PM and how much interest can u get on ur FD’s?

 

4.What have the Nehru-Gandhi’s done for the country till now anyway? They have ruled India as PM for so long and yet despite all their alleged heroic effort we are still lagging behind many countries.They berate the BJP of fostering communal riots but i think they should first check their own past before trying to portray that they are on the morally higher ground compared to others.The Sikh riots of 84 when Sikhs were killed and none of the so called accused have been convicted.The Congress even gave the accused Tytler a ticket to contest the elections this time but due to the magnitude of brickbats which they got from the Sikh community they asked Tytler to not contest and thus try to save face which sadly isnt possible.

5.Rahul Gandhi who went around harping on the benefits of the Nuclear Deal to all and sundry was asked by a 8th standard boy abt the full form of IAEA (International Atomic Energy Association) which Rahul Gandhi didnt know unfortunately.If he knew so much abt the 123 agreement to try and convince that it was good he should have known what IAEA was.this just shows the type of person we are calling a youth politician and asking him to be the PM of a country like ours.Yes Advani is older than Rahul by a long shot but there is no use in calling an old person senile just cos u want someone young to take over.Being older is definitely a better choice than being Mr.Rahul Gandhi for me personally.

Conclusions:

If not Congress then who else to vote for in the coming elections?

The third front?i would say no.they wont be able to cobble up enough votes to get a majority and even if they some how managed the impossible the individual egos of the leaders would clash and the government wont last anyway.

BJP/NDA? i would say yes.yes they are corrupt.who the hell isn’t corrupt in today’s politics? but when u have to choose between a party like BJP and Congress i would choose BJP as they are the lesser evil of the two.

 

Let us all as responsible citizens show the Nehru-Gandhis that being PM is not their birthright and that there are other much more capable ppl to run our country.

P.S-I keep referring to the Gandhis as Nehru-Gandhi’s cos they are that and not Gandhis cos they are not related to Mahatma Gandhi in any way.its an interesting piece of news that ppl in the villages vote for Indra Gandhi and not for the candidates who are in the fray.

It has some Pakistani film songs as well so no harm in u giving it a try. Best of all its free so u don’t need to pay anything for it. Well that would be reason enough for me i guess.

Ghajini Vs Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

Well as soon as we see that an Amair Khan movie has released we immediately jump to the conclusion that it will be a great film but unfortunately thats not always the case.Some of his movies have been bad those which had huge hype like Mangal Pandey and more recently Ghajini. 

The ploy Amair uses to market his films is very simple. First he isn’t a very sociable person so people don’t see much of him anyway. Second just before his movies is about to release he unleashes a media blitzkrieg with all sort of advertisements. Thats what happened this time around as well.

Ghajini was said to be a thriller but neither did it prove to be a thriller nor did it entertain yours truly much. Ok i admit some funny scenes were good but apart from that there was nothing good in the movie. And hang the funny stuff, everyone had come to see a thriller not a comedy. This is the main problem the film has for most of the first half and abt 1/2 of the second half as well. When it comes to the action sequences the film is ok, mediocre at best if you ask me. Answer this have u ever seen a thug with a gun outside his stronghold but with not even one gun inside his headqaurters? If u say yes than i have to ask u to stop reading the rest of this article as u have already decided which side ur going to be on. I would rate Ghajini to be an average film and a good reason why i should never go to another Amair Khan film with high hopes.

Now coming to Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi or RNBDJ in short. Everyone knew it would be old wine in a new bottle but still when SRK does a film many SRK fanatics of the same type as those of the Amair Khan types go and watch the film in great droves. This should satisfy u that I am not a SRK fan either. The story lacked a bit and the dance part was a bit corny i have to admit but still thats what SRK movies are abt aren’t they? I will have to give SRK good marks for his acting as the normal middle class man and some of his expressions were really good. The rest of the cast is okay except for Vinay Pathak who stands out as usual. But u have got to watch the credits for laughs.

I sum up this review by saying its not happened that i liked a SRK film more than Amair Khan film but there’s always the first time in life.

Obama or Mccain?

Well I am not an American but this is no ordinary election. The amount of coverage this election has been given all over the world beats the coverage given to any other election.

First of all I would like to say that I am not biased in anyone’s favour.While Mccain had an easier Presidential nominee race, Obama had a tougher one against Hillary Clinton who did a great job of fighting upto the very end before giving up.

But now the actual fight starts. While Mccain has to fight problems like anti-incumbency, as George Bush has not done a very good job which everyone can see. Obama has to fight against prejudices against him that he is very young and has only charisma and no substance.

Both their choices for their running mates were also pretty interesting. While Obama chose Biden who is a veteran in the Senate to offset claims that he inexperienced, Mccain chose Palin so that he could try and gather the Democratic voters who were disgruntled by Hillary Clinton’s loss to his side.

During the Presidential Nominee race i was on Hillary Clinton’s side and i wanted her to win and then when she lost i wanted Mccain to win. But when I was talking to my father he said something which made me review the stand that i was taking. Just because he’s new compared to Mccain doesn’t mean that Obama won’t do a good job.And why shouldn’t he be president after all he will represent the epitome of the Great American Dream won’t he? An African American with no previous claims in politics becoming president and thus becoming the first Black President of the USA.

Many might argue here that because Obama is black he is getting all this attention. But I would like to ask those people a few questions. First, even if he is black can he fake his charisma?NO.Second,if in a hypothetical situation Mccain was black then who would u support? The answer would be Obama. Third, who knows Obama might have got the same attention even if he had been white.

I am not against Mccain, but is he not the part of the same system that George Bush is? Though whatever be his faults it takes a lot of courage to declare war against countries. He might be reviled for the deaths of American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan and my condolences to those who have lost family members in these places. But just reflect here, there is so much of a fuss about the death of about 10000 US soldiers what about the hundreds of civilians who die everyday in bomb blasts in the above two countries and else where which has led to civilian casualties in Iraq mostly to be about 7-8 times at least that of the dead US soldiers. Anyway that is the subject for another post.

Review of Batman-The Dark Knight

Just for the intro:

This film is only the second film to cross 500 million $ in revenue in North America after Titanic and in fewer days.

I felt disappointed after seeing the first Christopher Nolan film Batman Begins. It was okay as films go but it didn’t click. But the Dark Knight is way, way better than the first film.

Like Johnny Depp in the Pirates of the Caribbean series the standout actor here is Heath Ledger. This is without a doubt his best performance to date primarily due to the fact that if u had seen his movies and u hadn’t known that he was going to be the Joker then i bet a million dollars that u couldn’t have recognized him as the Joker. While Jack Nicholson was funny and didn’t seem to dangerous Ledger’s Joker is more darker, brutal and way more dangerous.The best lines are of the Joker(no surprise). Because some of u might not have seen the movie i don’t want to quote any of them but i guarantee u will love all his lines.

The other actors are also good though i personally found Christian Bale lacking after seeing his film Equilibrium (will write a review of that sometime). The special effects are also quite good and the action lovers out there will like the action sequences a lot.

I gurantee u that the only thing u will be talking about after the movie will be Joker. I am sad that Heath Ledger is dead otherwise there would have been a sequel for sure with ledger reprising his role once more.

Third, to run the torrent you need utorrent which can be easily downloaded as it is only 300kb. Yes you read it right only 300kb.Fourth, you open the torrent through utorrent. The file will start getting downloaded automatically and you can the see the how much data has been downloaded, how much more time is required and all that stuff in utorrent.After the downloading finishes just run the file/game/movie that you wanted and hey presto! there it is.

This is extremely good but there is only one small drawback, some morons upload erroneous torrents which are bad, so if you ignore that then this is a really good product.

Review of Brisingir- Inheritance trilogy

For all Inheritance fans this is a book that we have been waiting for a long long time. And for the most part it doesn’t dissapoint. It starts off from where Eldest left off namely Eragon and Roran leaving the Varden to find Roran’s fiancee Katherine. In this we learn more about Eragon’s father, Morzan, Brom, his mother and why Murtagh has agreed to help Galbatorix whom he didn’t like. We also learn how Galbatorix has increased his power and how he has done so to Murtagh. Arya’s character is also revealed a bit more. We also get to know what Brom talked with Saphira in the first book.Also Eragon finally gets a new sword in the latter half of the book. Though Nausada has come to age in the previous book itself it is in this one that we see that not only is she as good as Aijihad was or even better in managing the Varden as we can see from one scene that she risks her very life to retain the leadership of the Varden and the tribes of which her uncle is the leader. But the only dissapointing thing is Orik whom we don’t see much in this book. Indeed even Orik has become more mature as he has too because he has to win the trust of the Dwarf clans if he wanted to become the King of Dwarfs. Eragon’s nature is reavealed to a large extent in this book and we can clearly see what seperates him from the others, Saphira included. On the brighter side Saphira is shown to be mentally communicating with many people rather than Brom and Eragon only. Angela the herbalist and her cat Solembum are still mysterious as ever and unfortunately we can’t find out how the both of them know so much. That i guess is for the last book in the trilogy.

The only criticism that i will make about this book is that it lags in a quite a few places and you feel the temptation of turning over a few pages but i suggest you don’t do that and instead enjoy the book.

I will give the book 8 out of 10 as the storyline could have been slightly better.

Review Of Wikipedia

One of the most compelling reasons why one should use Wikipedia is that it is open-source. For those who can’t understand the term open source think of it as something which allows anyone to edit the information present on the site. Let me give you an example Windows is closed source because Microsoft doesn’t allow anybody to edit the codes they have written for Windows though people do that and that is why we have so may tweaks for Windows. On the other hand Linux is open source. So basically open source is for those softwares which are not for profit.The huge number of users who register with the site to submit articles are also increasing daily and hence it it the most comprehensive encyclopedia which can be edited by only registering with the site. The number of articles have increased tremendously and not only in English. But be ready for the cons too. Recently, Wikipedia’s founder faced criticism of altering the article written about him. Another alarming report came in the newspaper recently that college students copied an article from Wikipedia and it was factually wrong. This is not to say that the information provided on the site is wrong but only a warning to all the people out there who think that they can directly copy from the site and think that their work is done. I shouldn’t sound too pessimistic after all this site was a pioneer for online encyclopedias.Hope you enjoy surfing this site. It has got tons of info. Review of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Harry Potter is without a doubt the book which almost all children have read today. Therefore there were a lot of expectations for the seventh and final installment of the HARRY POTTER series. But J.K.Rowling lets the fans down with the plot, the same which enthralled readers across the age spectrum with its freshness and novelty. This doesn”t mean that the book is bad, as it is a must read for all Potter maniacs which includes me.
So we have Harry and gang attending Bill and Fleur marriage which gets attacked by the Death Eaters. They escape only to find out that the Ministry of Magic has been taken over by Voldemort’s supporters and all muggle witches and wizards are being persecuted by the ministry. The Order of the Phoenix is in hiding. It is in this situation that the Harry and his friends Ron and Hermione try to search for the other Hocruxces. They find that the locket which Harry and Dumbledore had found in the cavern on the night of Dumbledore’’s demise had been placed there by Regulus Black- Sirius’’s brother.
I think Rowling loses her plot here a bit for we are now introduced to a new topic that of the Deathly Hallows. The first is a wand which is more powerful than all other wands. The second is a cloak which makes the wearer invisible. The third is a ring which brings back people to life. Voldemort knows of the wand as he tries to find it and eventually does ironically in the tomb of Dumbledore whose wand it was before death. So Harry and his friends finally destroy all the Hocruxces except Nagini and one more. Neville kills Nagini with Godric Gryffindor’s sword and here it is finally revealed whether Snape is on Harry’s side or Voldemort’s. Also a great secret is revealed about Voldemort. It’s also revealed why Dumbledore died in the previous book. Harry with the help of his friends take over the school from the Death Eaters control and here a final battle takes place between Harry and Voldemort.
So finally the good points of this book are that past secrets are revealed for example the past of Dumbledore, why he fights with Grindelwad. Snapes’ past is also revealed and this helps us in understanding his actions.
The main negative point about the book is that many characters are killed in this book. The final fight between Voldemort and Harry is also bad. I can’t understand how Harry can fight and survive (doesn’t mean he survives in the end) without actually being knowledgeable in spells like Hermione is. The spells Harry uses against Voldemort is also a big let down. All in all, this is an impossible book for Potter maniacs to ignore. For others I would suggest they should read it if it comes their way.

I will give it 7.5 out of 10.
