Random Thoughts

Its been a long time since i posted here and well been busy as well as disinclined to write here.
Its almost midnight here and therefore i apologize in advance if some of my thoughts are random.
A lot has happened recently.i finished reading the Fountainhead by Ayn Rand and i have to admit its better than Atlas Shrugged.Though she wrote it so long ago it still holds relevance in today’s life.Basically its the difference being a first hander and a second hander. The former being one who is creative and and an inventor while the latter is just a copycat with no creativity of his own i.e- a sponge who is just good at absorbing things. She has totally turned the definitions of egoistical, selfishness and selflessness on their head and written abt a totally different side of them which i admit i hadnt thought of before reading this book.
Coming to indian political affairs its business as usual.Amar Singh has finally left Samwajwadi Party after a lot of hullaboo.Of course he takes his bollywood connections out of the party with him lol.why wouldnt he considering the fact that they might fetch him a few votes ;)
Rahul Gandhi is on a Find India tour lol which is extremely amusing to me.Despite being almost 40, and a bachelor with an alleged Colombian girlfriend who is reportedly kept in wraps so that no one gets a sniff abt her existence so that the Congress can show Rahul as fully Indian in values unlike his mother who despite her best efforts cant rid herself of her Italian origins, he is being portrayed as a youth leader when he is clearly middle aged.Of course compared to the veterans in politics he’s still a noob lol.The wily old politicians can teach him a trick or two about how to fence sit so that they can later on take any position that they want to.BJP gives the most recent example in that case by aligning with the JMM in Jharkand despite Shibu Soren having a murder case slapped against him and his and BJP having differences in the past.
What amazes me the most is the fact that Congress has somehow managed to show themselves as poor people friendly despite the obvious price rise of almost any item be it food grains or petrol. The problem is that the indian voters arent really bothered by what the past government has done or not done,it just boils down to who pays more money before the voting time. This scenario was clearly indicated by the alleged mass bribery done by the DMK to woo the voters in Tamil Nadu in the recent elections cos according to almost all the election pundits there wasnt any way how DMK could have won over AIADMK.Plus if u consider the fact that it is always a see-saw scenario in the Tamil Nadu elections further strengthens the doubts of whether DMK won an honest election or not.
The difference between the political leaders in the past and the present ones is their morality.Past ones had some morals and werent ready to sacrifice them on the altar of forming a government but the present ones will stop at nothing to get power. It is said power corrupts and it clearly shows why the current political scenario is as it is.
To project someone who misspelled his education degree wrongly is pure lunacy but people are too naive to understand what really goes on hidden from the public view.If some of u dont agree with me tell me one thing which Rahul Gandhi has done for India? And i dont mean for Congress i mean for India.
Has he done any social service?
Has he donated any of his own money of which he has crores and crores to the poor?
Does he do anything else than public gimmicks to serve the people?Getting into a train was a publicity stunt devised by some good public relations firm in which he shot two ducks with the same stone.
The first was of hitting Shiv Sena where it hurts by doing it in their backyard with full police protection so that they couldnt do anything abt it.
Secondly impressing the public by pretending to really care abt what happens to the common man.
Has he indeed ever felt the plight of a poor person?Right from his great great grandfather his family have been rich.so he hasnt ever felt the hunger a poor person faces.
Indeed most of us dont like Indira Gandhi for declaring an emergency and its the reason why a second national party formed in india in the first place. But the same person is being idolized by the Congress party who in their utter lack of thinking and total dedication of sycophancy dont care what they do apart from getting into the inner coterie of Rahul/Sonia/Priyanka Gandhi.
Gandhi isnt even their name in the first place. It was and will always belong to a person who they can never emulate or even impersonate though they try their hardest to do so on many occasions and that person is Mahatama Gandhi.
Yes i clearly dislike the present Gandhis as is evident from my writing above. But most of all i am sick and tired of seeing the Gandhis being felicitated for doing nothing and eating away at the public money which is filled by the tax that u and i pay and which these people are enjoying.
Indeed if we see that what has the Congress party done for India which it has ruled for over 50 years? And they criticize the BJP for not doing anything.
RAW(Research and Analysis Wing) has totally deteriorated in the last 5 years since Congress has been in power.U can see evidence of that in the Indian Express newspaper.
What happened to the austerity drive of the ministers? Hardly a mention of it in the newspapers these days right?
Wouldnt u call that a publicity gimmick?
Though hats off to whichever Public Relations firm the Congress party has hired cos it is doing a great job and throwing wool into the eyes of most of the Indian people.
Well my rant abt the Congress is over as i am feeling sleepy.
Good night and i hope u can see the reason why we should kick Congress out of power.

  1. Ayn Rand’s philosophy is little more than a celebration of adolescent selfishness. Her most read novel, Atlas Shrugged, is nothing more than a turgid, overwrought romance novel.

  2. I dont agree with Ayn Rand’s philosophy fully but i do believe that her philosophy that one should try to be the best we can in any field which we want is right and wholeheartedly support that.

As i see in the education system in India at the moment there’s no creativity present just a standard memorisation of things and how to score marks in the exams nothing more nothing less.

  3. About Atlas Shrugged i agree its pretty prosaic at most of the times and i didnt find it as interesting as Fountainhead.and yes Atlas Shrugged needed some real good editing.
